Welcome to my Italian Online Beginner Course! My approach is simple: learning a language should be enjoyable and not stressful. In my classes we use games, practical activities, and real-life situations to help you learn Italian step by step in a relaxed and friendly way. I know how challenging learning a new language can be because I went through the same experience myself. Over the years, as a teacher, I’ve learned that students progress best when they feel comfortable, supported, and free to practice without fear of making mistakes. Classes take place in small groups, so everyone has time to speak, ask questions, and receive personal attention. You’ll also have the chance to meet and practice with other learners who are starting the same journey as you. By the end of this course, you will be able to understand and use basic Italian in everyday situations. You’ll learn how to introduce yourself and others, ask simple questions, and have short conversations with native speakers when they speak slowly and clearly. You’ll also be able to talk about yourself, your family, where you come from, what you need, and make simple plans for the future. We will work together to build your foundations step-by-step through practical themes, focusing on: - The Basics: Building natural sentences using the present tense (regular and irregular verbs). - The "Glue" of the Language: Getting comfortable with articles, gender, and those tricky prepositions. - Real-world Vocabulary: Talking about your daily routine, shopping, and expressing needs. - Taking it a step further: Introducing the present continuous (e.g., "sto parlando") to make your Italian sound even more natural. When: Every Monday from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM (UK time) Duration: 10 lessons (90 minutes each) – Starting late September, ending mid December. Where: Online via Zoom (comfortable from your own sofa!).
