Hello, I am Paola
I am a friendly, calm and patient tutor that really loves teaching in a comfortable, positive and supporting ambience. I encourage you to participate actively to the lesson, and, according to the purpose, I promote activities, games and practical exercises focused on your needs. I do not prefer explaining concepts using only schematic structures, but I try to understand your main needs and gaps and I tail the lessons to your specific learning processes.
All levels are covered.
My Story
I am an Italian native speaker with a number of professional teaching Italian experiences at language schools and private lessons. I started teaching 10 years ago in Italy as a private tutor, then I moved to Bristol, where I have got the chance to work in a Language School as Italian teacher for adult learners (beginners and intermediate, almost 10 courses in total) and also for business Italian for a food company. I used my language skills also as an Italian Translator & Proofreader for a company in United States and a Medical company in Oxford, and as an Italian Examiner for the Cambridge (CIE) IGCSE Italian for 3A Tutors. From 2015 I use to teach in Oxford as a private tutor. After a break (mid 2020 to Feb 2021 to become a Mum) I started to teach again.

- you are a complete beginner but, during your next travel, you want to be able to speak and understand basic Italian in related contexts (hotels, restaurants, visiting a monument).
- you are working for a company which collaborates with Italian partners and want to learn/improve your business Italian skills
- you are studying Italian at University or you want to prepare your GCSE/A-level exam
- you are passionate about languages and want to add a new language to your skills
- you love Italian food and culture and want to combine your Italian speaking with your passion for cuisine (I am a good cook too!)
